Painting
I work mostly with oil paint to create still life scenes, portraits, or landscapes. I usually work slowly and build up translucent layers of color which is a time consuming process.
Drawing
Charcoal, Graphite, Colored Pencil
I use charcoal most often for drawings that will become finished works. I also use graphite and have done some illustrations with colored pencil. I often make plenty of sketches for projects including new ceramic forms, logos, websites, and paintings.
